The holidays are coming up and lots of games like Terraria, Dungeon Defenders and others are ready to give out new content to celebrate.
Terraria
- The new update 1.1.1 is supposed to be released on December 15th. The update is supposed to have been updated for Christmas. As you can see in the picture above their are going to be.
- Snowmen (with guns, snowballs, and what appears to be a knife. )
- Snow biome
- Santa outfit
- Some kind of ice building material
- New red and green building material
We will keep you updated if any more information about this update comes to light and make a guide once the update is released.
Minecraft
Jeb released this week’s development snapshot. This time he posted a blog post about it. It included a changelog which is below:
- Sheep eat grass and regain their wool
- Farmland is no longer destroyed by items and particles
- Added multiple languages
- Added a “spawn mob” egg item to creative mode
- Corrected a setTileEntity multiplayer bug
- Corrected a powered rail bug
- Corrected a redstone update bug
These features are still being worked on, but it is nice to get to look at them before release. If you want to play this snapshot he has links to it in the blog post.
Ludum Dare
- Ludum Dare 22 is coming up December 16th -19th.
- Notch is supposed to be participating and streaming the whole production of his game yet again.
- Kotaku has wondered if Notch can actually make a game in 48 hours. He has shown in the past that he could, so that question seems a bit silly.
Other News
- Dungeon Defenders will be putting up their Christmas DLC soon. They have already revealed what the Monk’s costume will be.
- Even Steam has gotten ready for the season by improving their gifting system. The notification tab might be a bit annoying, but the pending gifts tab sounds good.
