Some indie developers like games with a lot of blood. This particular bundle contains the Alien Shooter games. These fairly interesting games are top down action/shooting games. All of them are heavy on the gore as you might expect.
The Indie Gorefest Bundle Games
The Zombie Shooter games are all basically the same game, but each one has significant additions. Let us go over each one:
- The original Alien Shooter brought us interesting leveling systems with cool weapons and implants. The level design was a bit lacking compared to some other games.
- Alien Shooter 2 brought in 50+ weapon types and 20+ gadgets along with an expanded story and more game modes. Overall it was a much better game.
- Alien Shooter Conscription added new guns and power-ups along with a remade game world. In many ways this is the expansion pack that adds the final bit of polish to the series.
For those of you who have never tried the series this is a good opportunity to see the whole thing. Doubtless the game will continue to evolve over time as well with later editions.
Buying the Indie Gorefest Bundle
This is a mini-bundle of a sort. All the games are of the same type from one developer. So what is the upside to the bundle? The price. At 99 cents for the bundle at the time of this writing it is a very inexpensive bundle.
This makes it a good choice for those without a significant amount of money. Even someone just starting out can get all three games. They also come with Steam codes so you can put them up there as well. You can get the game on the Bundlestars.com site and some of the proceeds go to Special Effect.
