Terraria has unleashed a massive update to its game, 1.0.6.
There are a huge amount of new items in Terraria including a shadow chest along with various furniture. You can find the patch notes here. We’ll have a guide up for you as soon as we can. But what can players expect in this significant update?
There will be a spiked ball in dungeons, as well as a fire wheel which will rampage through the area. You can also expect to find the Golden Slime which will hold a Golden Key.The Cursed Skulls may now apply a curse to you if they hit you.
In the jungle the hornets will now shoot stingers at you. These will all have a chance of poisoning you for up to 10 seconds. The Eater of Worlds now has the chance to attack again if you chase him off.
There are also some significant changes to how battles work, including potion sickness. You now have to wait a very large amount of time between each healing item you use. This means that you can no longer just fall down to hell and chug potions nonstop to heal up.
Perhaps the most annoying change is that the Orb of Light now doesn’t give off very much light. This makes many areas much more annoying instead of harder. We can only hope they change it back, as this really hurts the fun. The Molten Armor pieces also no longer glow, which is also a huge pain.
But most importantly, there is a huge amount of furniture coming. Some of the new furniture items even have special abilities such as the cooking pot. This item will allow you to make soup from certain ingredients. It’s just a huge bunch of items from the huge statue to the gaudy and imposing throne.
