Planets³ is an interesting take on the Minecraft/Exploration style. It seems like most games of this type will be taking
Planets³ and Leveling
Leveling is a huge part of this game. You have your normal skills such as staminas and strength. These work mostly as you would expect. You level them up by using them such as running for stamina. This is something we have seen quite a bit.
However you’ll also have a technical level that lets you make more complicated items by using more resources. So you need to raise that as well while you play. All of this works in a system set up for zones on the planet that you can handle at each level. If you wander into one too deep down you may have some problems
Planets³ and Geography
The main selling point of this game is they’re going to try to do more with each planet than other games of this style. You’ll have your normal caverns and underworlds of course. You will also have layers of biomes and layers of underworld to explore with varied landscape and creatures. This is what they are banking on gamers wanting.
Working with Elements in Planets³
The inventory system we have seen so far appears to have you combining elements to make a larger item. Something you have grown fairly well accustomed to in other games. Apparently the weapon system is going to incorporate the crafting as well with huge amounts of different weapons to make.
Supporting the Planets³ Kickstarter
As usual you can get copies of the game on the lower end. On the upper end you have design input for those who can drop several hundred dollars. If you think this might be the next big thing then take a look at their project.
