Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has been released. We want to go over the game a big for you and tell you about where you can get it.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate New Features
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate brings together many of the favorite parts of old games. Let us run down the list of features for you:
- New monsters to hunt
- Improved netcode for the Wii U version, with later support for Nintendo 3DS
- Improved chat for the Wii U version
- Data sharing between the Wii U and 3DS
- Improved graphics
- New quests
- New equipment
Of course the 3DS version has fewer features. There are plans to expand the features later. It is of course expected that the mobile version will be less robust. 3DS users can also play Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate using “Packet Relay Tools” including some cables. Of course you will have to purchase these separately.
Free Quests and Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Capcom will also be supporting the game well after release. Free quests will be available online for all players to enjoy. No word on whether Capcom will ever be putting in DLC they charge for.
Roster Updates
While a great game, it seems like they are going into “Roster Update” territory with this game. Each version adds a bit more, or in some cases changes things completely. This is not bad in and of itself, but perhaps the next version might call for a change. Any game becomes a little stale without enough change.
Where to get Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate
Right now you can either the Wii U or 3DS versions at retail locations or on the Nintendo eShop. European customers will have to wait until March 22nd, unfortunately. This is the part where we usually promote Capcom Unity. However you should also check out the main Capcom site if you are a big fan.
