Minecraft has released their release candidate versions 1 on purpose and version 2 which fixes some things. You are advised to use version 2 to avoid some problems.
Once again to install these jars, search %appadata% in windows to find your .minecraft folder. Just copy over your minecraft.jar in the bin folder with this file. Then you can play the newest release candidate.
Release candidate 2 changes:
- New SFX to chests, eating, endermen and a variety of other items and enemies.
- Quit game button on the main menu.
- Eggs can now hatch into baby chickens if launched.
- Wooden door bug has been fixed.
We’ll also go over some things we hadn’t previously covered. Here is how to make an end portal:
You need
- 12 Ender Pearls (Enders in the Overworld)
- 6 Blaze Rods (Blazes in the Nether)
- Craft the Blaze Rods into Blaze Powder
- Craft these two together to get the “Eyes of the Ender”
- Use this item and you can locate a stronghold, simply find the end portal within and place several Eyes of the Ender in the slots.
- You can also make one in creative mode, but you must be below sea level (below 64 blocks down). And you must be in dim light.
- The portal must have a 3×3 bottom and top, which means 3 blocks on top, bottom, and 3 on the left and right sides.
- It’s actually easier to just fine a portal in creative mode, as you can have unlimited Eyes of the Ender.
The end and the Enderdragon
- The end is home to the Enderdragon. You need to destroy the crystals that power it to defeat it.
- It is best to use a bow to destroy these, and to damage the dragon itself. However this is a daunting task. You will have to dodge very well while not allowing it to rush you. If you can climb to the top of a pillar and keep it in site you can also win that way, but it has a lot of health.
- After killing the Enderdragon there is an Dragon Egg on the portal created by defeating the dragon.
