The Memory of Eldurim Kickstarter Spotlight

A setting in the style of the Elder Scrolls with the Far Cry engine. That is what one Kickstarter is promising people with “The Memory of Eldurim”. Many of us are suckers for anything that delivers gameplay similar to that series and we’re no different.

The Core Concept of The Memory of Eldurim

At the core it has many of the things you enjoy from other fantasy games. An open world with crafting, magic and combat. They’re also going to be doing things a bit differently with leveling and the way you play will change how you level. While the specifics of this are a bit unclear right now that’s the main selling point. There will also be no paid DLC in the game. That is always a plus.

The Memory of Eldurim Map

We’re quite excited that multiplayer is planned for it as well. It is only supposed to be over LAN but that is something most people want. What will make or break the game in the end is content such as sub-quests. We hope that they can deliver on a serious level on that point. They will also have mod support down the road.

The Memory of Eldurim Team – Liminal Games

The team itself right now is the definition of an indie underdog. They have about five people according to their site and will be adding more. We can’t give you any indication as to how that will change the game. As always you should make your own decisions about that. So far we think what they have looks phenomenal.

More Information on The Memory of Eldurim

You can try the game now on Indie DB. You should give it a chance and if it works for you then donate to the Kickstarter. This game has a good engine and a great chance to be very good in the future. They also have some Kickstarter exclusive items which may or may not intrigue you. There is a lot of heated debate about whether things like that are good for the system.

As a side note if you’re a dedicated fan please let us know if you enjoy these spotlights. We write about things we find interesting here and hope you find them interesting as well.
