K episode 8 is all about going after the Silver King who was involved in the murder incident.
Now we know that in the world of K the kings are in a hierarchy. There are at least two kings that are above the rest. The Gold King being at the top makes sense, since that king is rich and has his hands in business. Business connections are very powerful and have sway over all other areas like government, which would explain why he has power over the Blue King. What does the Silver King do though? Apparently he has just been flying over the city for a long time and ‘rules the sky.’ I do not see how that would make him more powerful than the business king. It would be nice if they would just come out with information about all the kings already.
The pacing for episode 8 of K was really awful. First there was the waiting along with the Scepter 4 for the phone call which lasted too long and included too many shots of beans. Then the long drawn out section about them hunting down the truck. Yes we know what searches for people in cars look like already. After the drawn out call and searching then we have a long everyone moving into action sequence. I do not know why shows insist on showing all vehicles following orders all the time. Just makes me think “Autobots roll out.”
Meanwhile in the office tea room, since there is so little going on this episode there is lots of time to make tea.
Also time to doctor sweets with lots of red beans.
Can’t even tell there is anything else in there anymore.
Apparently no one else shares her tastes.

I do like that they add little personality quirks to the cast like Seri’s obsession with Red Bean paste. I think that it just shows how little happened this episode that they had time to show so much of the same plate of beans. It should not have taken a full episode to make it to the airship. Such a waste of an episode. The next episode looks exciting from the preview thankfully.
