The Humble Store has now launched fully. While we knew this has been coming for a while it appears that they are going to have a wide variety of popular titles on sale now. The prices are good and the games so far are fairly good. We are curious how this will affect their hosting of other games that we have seen so far.
The Humble Store Introductory games
They have quite a selection with Steam keys as well. We don’t really need to go down each one but suffice it to say the lineup it excellent. All of them are extremely popular games from Don’t Starve to my personal favorite Orcs Must Die 2. Our only question is if the Humble Store is competing on an uneven field with other bundles. They seem to kind of be able to do whatever they want as the PewDiePie sale proved. We will have to see how that develops.
Hopefully they will also continue giving opportunities to Indie Developers who want their games hosted there. Some of our favorites including Skullgirls have been hosted there early on and it really helped them out in the long run.
Getting the Humble Store Games
Right now you can get a variety of games for much less than the purchase price at the Humble Store. More sales are supposed to be coming later on. Our only concern is whether this level of success is going to keep the bundle people from trying as hard. They seem to be at the top right now with a selection of games that few can compete with. No matter what happens this is sure to make the bundle wars even more intense. Competition is never a bad thing when it comes to helping the consumer all around.
