Nekogami Yaoyorozu is about a cat god that got thrown out of her home and now lives with a human girl named Yuzu. Mayu, the cat god, sits around playing games while Yuzu worries about finances and takes care of everything. There are other gods that show up and hijinks ensue.
After breaking out of house arrest Mayu loses most of her powers. As you can see her mom was mad.
The story for the first episode of Nekogami Yaoyorozu sometimes was more of a side note to hijinks. When they actually wrapped up the story for that episode I was surprised. They had two or more different side stories during this episode. It must have been to introduce characters, but do we need to have a flashback for everyone in the first episode? So it is hard to tell whether it will be story driven or not. Hopefully the coming episodes will contain more story, since I believe this could turn out to be a good show if they worked on it some.
What is wrong with a wife?
I love all the different gods with their little ears. The character designs are all cute even the poverty god which would normally be dirty or ugly was a cute little girl. I find that a neat idea since poverty takes all forms it doesn’t have to be an adult or a man. More information on this series can be found on the wiki.
Show Status: Might check it out again later. I have a weakness for cats. So far I have not found the time to watch this since it did not leave the strongest first impression on me. Hopefully I will get around to it before the end of the season. If not I may return to this show later only time will tell.
