K is about two rival factions going after an evil king.
The king turns out to be a high school kid that does not remember why they want him. The story does not get very far because it gets sidetracked with high school and showing off their skateboarding animation for a couple examples. Hopefully they will get more forthcoming and have more talking in the future.
The cast for this show seems way too large. There are two large groups fighting over Isana. They both seem important, but they do not get enough screen time to help be able to distinguish the characters in their groups.
A fight to see whose sword is bigger.
The colors for K are so bad they will make your eyes bleed. The actual images are not the problem, there are some talented artists are work. Unfortunately the colorist is making the whole thing hard to look at by slapping a bright blue over everything for most of the episode. When it is not bright blue there sometimes a bright green as well. If the coloring was not bad enough they also add poorly rendered cgi and real life objects in randomly to make this show look even worse. They are trying to hard to be stylish and it is not working at all.
My favorite part of the show was when the robot was watching the naked girl and thanking her for the show.
Sometimes in the first episode of a series there will not be an opening, but K goes in the opposite direction. Instead of no opening or just one it has two of them. Right at the beginning of the show there is a list of names going by and nothing going on that could be an opening. The show starts and then out of nowhere a standard opening appears. There is a full minute and 20 seconds of names floating by and then the name of the show, but that was not enough so they needed another minute and 30 seconds to have a real opening over 8 minutes into the show. They really should have cut back on all that. Maybe put in some story instead and explained what was going on.

Overall I hope that in the future they rein in the color of this show and focus more on story in K. Right now it looks like this show is mostly getting a pass due to animation, but maybe it will turn out better later.
