If you can’t beat them, join them. Edge of Space has long had to face the stigma of being a Terraria clone. So they decided to say “go ahead and call us that” by having a cross-over event with that game. A new version of Skeletron known as Omegatron.
Terraria and Edge of Space Content
It seems that the big thing is going to be the new boss. It also comes with the 200% more science pack. We would mention how you can now build environments similar to Terraria but you already kind of could. The patch is a huge deal because the game is finally approaching a state where some important content is in. This includes:
- A character progression system that gives you special abilities.
- The day and night cycle that was always planned but just got fully finished.
- New tech trees redefined with more options and abilities all around.
- Shotguns for those who love them. Like many of us do.
And a host of other improvements. The game is really shaping up into something impressive now.
Edge of Space on the Edge of Good Ideas
Many games today are failing out of the gate due to other fans saying it’s a rip-off. Truth be told many of those games are rip-offs. Any aspiring indie developers paying attention would do well to accept the criticism and even embrace it. If you can do a crossover event that pokes fun at the jeers, even better. This is something that Edge of Space really needed and should have great results.

Right now you can of course get the crossover on Steam. You can also buy on the Edge of Space site as well. We are fairly excited about the crossover as we have covered the game for some time. Those interested can get it at a discount for a short time.
