Ludum Dare 22 happened recently and when I was searching, I found this Christmas game. In this game, you are helping Santa defeat his clones and you get candy canes as a reward. You use light and the ability to jump to find the clones and defeat them. It looks pretty nice and it is fun to play. It is a Ludum Dare game, so it is free to play as well.
This game was recently added to the Indie Royale Xmas Bundle. It has been released for the first time on PC through that bundle.
In ElfSquad7 you are trying to save Christmas from the evil Kevin. Kevin was supposed to save Christmas by being the best worker, but now he has turned against Christmas. You play as an elf or other Christmas-related creature shooting at gifts falling from the sky, which wraps the presents. Then you have to catch the wrapped presents. You have to collect a certain amount at each level before time runs out. While you are doing that watch out for the “untoys” that will destroy your gifts if you don’t get them first. This is an excellent game that makes for a fun time and works really well as a gift too. If any of your friends or family members are gamers, then this would make a nice Christmas present for them. It can be hard to find the right gifts for relatives, especially odd ones, so if you’re looking for ideas for daughter in law gifts or third cousin twice removed gifts, then consider this nice little Christmas-themed game.

If you are looking for something a bit less jolly this holiday season this game might be for you. In this game, you are trying to destroy Christmas rather than save it. It is a remake of Operation: Carnage and was part of the inspiration for Notch to try to make Santa vs. Cthulhu.
Princess Pitch and her pet Catstrike want to destroy Christmas because Mecha Santa never brought them any presents. So she is breaking into Mecha Santa’s home and destroying everything by shooting bricks at it. It is pretty fun to run around killing tons of different kinds of Santas and robots, but watch out for all the beams coming for you.
