Or maybe attack of the huge pun. The “Huge Seal” is actually a different type of sale than the norm. The creators have made a site where you get coupons for a variety of games. Then you get random extra games when you buy three.
Coupons and the Huge Seal
On a personal note I was a little hesitant that they give you coupons. But they are all for at least 50% off or more. It really is refreshing though actually getting to pick what coupons you get. It would be great to see Steam do something like this themselves as well.
The Huge Games Carried by the Huge Seal
While we aren’t going to go down each one the selection is excellent. La Mulana is an amazing platformer and we’ve already talked about Monaco. The current selection is good enough for pretty much anyone. We hope that they do sales like this in the future as well. They actually give you Steam codes for the coupons themselves, which is quite interesting.
Getting the Huge Seal for Yourself
Right now you can check out the Huge Seal site and get your own coupons. The upside to it having coupons is that you can get them for free so you don’t even have to buy anything. The funds go to various indie developers so you should only contribute if you want to help them. Overall we really like many of the developers in this bundle so that is fine with us. You will probably see it the same way.
A Note for Developers
For developers it should be noted that the Trine devs are the ones running it. It seems like the walls between publisher/developer/marketer are falling apart completely. From Desura to smaller gaming companies like Frozenbyte everyone seems to be doing everything.
