Zone of the Enders HD is coming - Nostolgia ahoy - Nerd Age

The Zone of the Enders series was an amazing series of games. Whether you enjoyed 1 or 2 more, they are both worth playing. That’s why Konami is releasing Zone of the Enders HD.

What if I didn’t play Zone of the Enders?

You can now. For those unfamiliar with the story the first game follows Leo Stenbuck. You are thrust into accidentally piloting the massively powerful Orbital Frame Jehuty. Triumph and tragedy abound as you face some of the most twisted opponents in the universe. While many players enjoyed the second game much more, this one is still good. It also sets the stage for the second game, and you might be a little confused otherwise. It introduces the most powerful Frames and gives hints as to the next game.

What if I didn’t play Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner?

This one you want to miss out on even less than the first one. The combat, art and overall play were vastly improved.  The new main character, Dingo Egret, finds Jehuty on the moon of Callisto. This story takes place two years after the original. He is soon caught up in a battle for supremecy over the superweapon Aumaan. And he soon finds out that he isn’t the only holder of a massively powerful frame. Colonel Nohman of the BAHRAM army pilots the sister craft, Anubis. The battles in the second game go well over the border of epic.

The Zone of the Enders Anime

It is worth a mention that this game also received an animated version. While not as great as the games, it might be worth a look for hardcore fans.

Zone of the Enders HD release info

Zone of the Enders HD is going to come to the PS3, Xbox360 and PS Vita. It will support HD resoultions, Trophies/Achievements and rumble support. It will also have improved audio and art, as you might expect from an HD version of a game. Be sure to check out the Konami site for more info.
