World Conquest Zvezda Plot episode 8 has two stories going on at the same time. One is about Kate and some of the crew seeing one of her favorite anime characters live and getting tricked by a White Light member. The other is about Goro going to get sweets from one of his former gang members and having to fight his way out of a trap.
World Conquest Zvezda Plot episode 8 does a great job of showing how great Goro is in this show. Goro is easily the best character in the show and it appears that his back story is the most important since it has come up multiple times and involves so many people. Even in the the very disappointing episodes 6 and 7 Goro posing as a statue and using his toes to send a message to the rest of the group was the best part of that arc. Goro’s portion of episode 8 had a man holding back a steamroller with a rolling pin. Does not get much more hardcore than that. It feels like he should be the main character of the show. His story and actions are the most amusing and the loli is just there for fanservice. It feels like they took an annoying side character and made her the leader while putting the charismatic and talented leader in the side character position in World Conquest Zvezda Plot.
World Conquest Zvezda Plot has turned out quite different than it appeared at the beginning. It is very hit or miss with some episodes being great like episode 3 with Kate trying to stop smoking in town. Other episodes are just horrible like the episodes 6 and 7 about the treasure hunt. The episodes adding nothing to the story, had parts that made no sense, and so many plot holes it was almost unwatchable. At the beginning of the show it looked like the team was going to actually conquer something, but the last thing they conquered was flipping over a silly bar. The show needs to get back on track and actually try to take over the world for a change. It does not make much sense that all these organizations are after the members when the group is not ever doing anything anymore.
