Who is Rocket Raccoon? - come find out why he rules

Rocket Raccoon is a cosmic bad-ass, and you should love him as much as we do.

With the release of Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, people are scratching their heads. “Who is Rocket Raccoon?” I keep getting asked. Well folks, he’s short, crafty and bad-ass. He’s one of the toughest Marvel characters ever who has even outwitted Thanos.

In literal terms, Rocket Raccoon is a creature created by a space genetic engineering project.  Rocket was made by a group of scientists to protect Halfworld, a space colony for the insane. He is an expert marksman, pilot and strategist who has fought the toughest in the galaxy.

But gamers might get it better this way: He’s Starfox, but he fights tougher foes. Comic fans who don’t know him might get it this way: Howard the Duck meets the Punisher. Anime fans:  A Tanuki meets Guts from Berserk or Walter from Hellsing. He is that awesome.

You can currently catch him in several cosmic stories, providing cover fire for people like Mantis and Groot. He also has a buddy cop relationship with Tree organism Groot. Groot is yet another little known character who is incredibly awesome, and the two of them together makes an awesome sandwich of incredible proportions.

While we aren’t sure how he will play in the game, we can get hints from his comic persona. If he plays like he fights in the comics, he will be a small, ranged zoner character. This means he will have a plethora of guns and other projectiles to down his enemies with.
