Just a bit ago they announced the game Warhammer 40K Storm of Vengeance. There is not much information out at the moment so we’re going to give you what little we have. It seems interesting enough that they are going with a “lane strategy” for this sort of game.
Warhammer 40K Storm of Vengeance So Far
They’ve released shots of individual marines, rhinos and even squigs. However we aren’t seeing the singular characters that people want from MOBAs. We are not sure what this means for the game. It might mean that we’re going to be seeing very different types of creeps in this game than we are used to.
What we want to know is how an armored transport is going to work in a game like this. We would assume they are going to have some incredibly massive lanes in the game. That would make it very different from the others on the market.
The Previous Games by the Company Eutechnyx
There is a reason that they are pushing their PR team, Bastion, instead of the developers as the face of the game. Want to know why? They made and a bunch of racing games and Big Mutha Truckers. That’s right, some of the worst games ever that people play ironically.
Time to Panic About Warhammer 40K Storm of Vengeance
What can we take about this game from that? It’s probably going to be really, reaaaallly bad. Their PR team is going a great job of making it look good, as they should. So is the traditional gaming media, as they are paid to do that as well. However we have to tell you unless they have fired all their internal staff and brought in new ones it is going to be a disaster. Here are some of their other games:

To be fair we are told that their later Nascar games were not so bad. We have to ask how is a company that has done almost exclusively racing games going to make a good MOBA? If this doesn’t dissuade you then we’re confused. If you’re looking forward to it then feel free to check out their site. They’re probably going with them since this will be a mobile release. So who knows, the bar is lower there.
