Warframe, the hugely popular free-to-play PC title, is making the jump to PlayStation 4. We want to go over what capabilities it will have and a new trend we have noticed.
Warframe for the PlayStation 4
Many of us will just be sticking with the PC edition. This version will have DUAL SHOCK 4 functionality. But we have a much bigger question; will a company finally get cross-platform working well? Many companies release stand-alone versions for each system. Something that the industry has been crying out for is a trend of letting PC gamers play with console gamers. Of course due to net coding and regular coding differences this can be very hard. It would be nice to see though. Moving games onto PS4 means tackling many issues, such as finding a workaround lagging PS4, amongst other issues. Still, itt can mean a wider range get to try it out and see how good it is for themselves, and we all know how gamers take their gameplay very seriously. From getting themselves a customizable ps4 pro skin to make them stand out, to standing in line for hours to just get this kind of game. Appealing and adapting to a wider audience not only helps the gamers but it helps the company too.
Warframe and the Apps Trend
The PlayStation 4 version of Warframe will have an Android and iOS App called Warframe Nexus. It will allow you to look at game information on missions, crafting and more while away. They will be demonstrating this at E3. It seems that every game needs either a side controller or an app these days. On a personal note we find the app trend to be a bit frustrating, despite being optional. I kind of just want to play my game without paying more on my data plan. Fortunately such things are not mandatory yet but who knows where it may go.

Right now we do not have a set release date. The developers will be revealing more and attempting to drum up more support during E3. That is when they should be releasing most of their information about the game. We expect it to be a fairly good port as the days of sub-par ports are largely over. They still happen but not nearly as much with PC games in the modern era. Stay with us for more coverage.
