What Video Games: The Movie Shows Us
This is far from the only game/movie tie in but they are once again getting popular. In the old days we saw films such as “The Wizard”, “Double Dragon” and “Super Mario Bros” in the limelight. While not all the movies were of high quality we had a time when movies about games were popular. Now we are seeing documentaries about gaming become popular. Could this be the crest of a new wave of gaming movies? We think it very well could be.

You can see a few of the stretch goals above. The Kickstarter has already succeeded and there is a link to it near the top. This is no doubt in part from the people who have been interviewed and been involved in it. The industry is becoming massively connected and it is easy to build huge waves of enthusiasm. This is partly due to the openness and the other part is the ease of communication in our modern era. Our current high level of advanced communication has perhaps done more to connect and grow the industry than anything else.
