Untold Universe stood out to us for two reasons. One is that it appears to be Minecraft in Space with multiple planets. Another reason is that they are actually planning out their Kickstarter before they launch it. We approve of both of these things and therefore are going to cover them.
Untold Universe and an Indie Team
Right now a small team of six people in France are working on this. Right now they’re focusing on this as their first big game. If you want to learn more about the team you can always check them out on Twitter.
Planets will have their own terrain and resources to harvest.
How Does Untold Universe Stand Out?
First of all the game deals with an infinite number of worlds that you gather resources from. A job system makes it so that each player can do something different. You can even work for other players in order to make some money for your own adventures. Creating a real network with diverse jobs is what makes the game unique.
Creating a Universal Corporation
Of course the end game is to make your own corporation that sends ships throughout the universe. Players can do this by building factories to create a wide variety of products. Players who put in enough effort can become well versed in all available skills. Flexibility is what this title is all about.
Supporting the Untold Universe Kickstarter
At the moment it is not up yet but look for it. As you can see in the attached trailer it should probably be up soon. In our opinion it is much better to start on things such as this sooner rather than later. You can check on this on their website and even give early feedback in the forums.
At the moment the best way to help them with this is to vote their game up on Steam Greenlight.
