Right now there is a lot of misinformation floating around about Ultra Street Fighter IV and release dates. So we’re going to simplify things for you with bulleted lists and easy info. So take just a minute of your time to find out what is going on.
The Ultra Street Fighter IV Release Schedule
They laid everything out clearly for you today but not all the press made it simple, so here it is:
- June 3rd for PSN Digital Upgrade on PSN
- June 4th for Xbox Live Games Store Upgrade
- August 5th Retail Boxes for Playstation 3 and Xbox Live
- August 8th Digital Upgrade and Full Game for Steam
These are the official dates sent out today in press releases.
The Costume Pack for Ultra Street Fighter IV
Anyone who pre-orders at “select retailers” (IE Gamestop, Steam, Official Capcom Retailers) will receive a costume pack. These costumes are for the new “2014” characters:
- Jungle Elena
- Medieval Hugo
- Pirate Poison
- Wizard Rolento
- Gladiator Decapre
This one starts today on the 15th so you can get in on it soon.
Quick Price List for Ultra Street Fighter IV
Here is a short list for you to see how much you will spend:
- Owners of SF IV or Arcade Edition Pay $14.99 across all systems
- Full PC is $29.99
- PS3 Users pay $39.99 for the full version on a download
- PS3 and Xbox 360 users pay $39.99 for the full retail box
Every single person who buys the full version in any form will get all the previously released costumes.
More Info on the Ultra Street Fighter IV Pre-orders
While they have not released any more bonuses in their current press release they have said there will be more bonuses later. To quote their press “More information on the pre-order promotions will be available on the official Street Fighter website and on Capcom-Unity in the coming weeks.” which makes sense. They’d rather have the earliest info released inside their company.
From what we understand none of the new backgrounds will be DLC, as is normal. Fortunately game developers haven’t made it a habit to turn those into DLC yet.
