Ultimate MvC3 has finally been announced, more news soon

San Diego Comic-Con teasers have revealed a great surprise for fighting fans, a new edition of MvC3. 12 new characters are rumored to be coming, hopefully Strider and Phoenix Wright.
Capcom would be shooting itself in the foot to not re-add Strider in Ultimate MvC3. Why? Well watch this:
Some big names in the industry are hinting that they may abandon the series over it. After a luke-warm reception in the professional sector, we can only hope that Ultimate Edition breathes new life into the game. If they add in many of the fan favorites the competitive scene for this game could greatly expand.
From what we have heard, the dreaded X-factor makes a return. It is unfortunate that such a troublesome mechanic was not removed, but they would probably have to wait for Marvel vs Capcom 4 in order to that. After a decade of waiting for this game, another one seems quite a long way away.
That being said, MvC3 was a success in sales so the series is in no danger. In fact it was more successful overall than Tatsunoko vs Capcom, which was good enough for Capcom to continue with the vs series of games. It’s perhaps too much to ask for Gene from Godhand to show up, but we should see some great new faces. Then again, Capcom wants to pretend that a great game like Godhand never happened in the first place.
Update: Shortly after this post, we got a huge amount of information on the new characters. You can read more in this article here. The news covers a variety of new characters, including Nemesis, Firebrand and Phoenix Wright. Needless to say we were very pleasantly surprised by the new lineup, as were many fans. Some of these characters are actually incredibly obscure, which is very refreshing. Check out the official site here.
