Capcom has released several new videos for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. We are excited to show you some Phoenix Wright and Nova footage for this game.
In Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Nova appears to be a mid to close range character. He appears to have quite a few ways to charge in, similar to Thor. He also has a super reminiscent of Super Skrull. Overall it appears that you will be able to initiate combos quite well with Nova. Nova also has a decent projectile super, which is something essential for a character like this, since you can’t always get in on your opponent easily.
For those of you who don’t know who Nova is, you should read the Annihilation series as well as some of his earlier comics. He is a very interesting yet overlooked character. Nova is an extremely powerful cosmic defender who saves the universe from universal threats including Annihilus and Thanos.
Phoenix Wright has an evidence system as well as a full screen OTG. The combo potential for this is significant, however it doesn’t look like he has great base combo potential. Then again, having such and easy and massive OTG could easily make up for it. He also appears to have some very nice hitboxes, and his assists would appear to have good range as well.
Phoenix also appears to have some zoning potential, as his hitboxes have good range and he appears to have some long range specials and supers. Getting in on Phoenix Wright could turn out to be a very tough task. But aside from all that, it is very exciting to see a character that Capcom originally rejected. Looks like they listened to the fans this time.
