New trailers have been released for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. We get to see some gameplay from Vergil and Iron Fist.
These two Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 characters are looking awfully familiar. You can already tell what several of their moves will be simply from the trailers. Both of these characters appear to be up-close combo characters with ways to get in fast.
Iron Fist looks like he is going to play similarly to Jam from Guilty Gear. He has a flying kick with a similar hitbox, and fighting stance charges exactly like her. Even one of his supers is a burst of flame the resembles one of her moves. However, this means that Jam fans can rejoice because you get a familiar character.
Vergil is actually looking less similar to Dante than we thought he would. He appears to have normals that resemble Dante’s, imagine that, and the same demon form super. However he has a move where he summons multiple swords and can blast them at the opponent.
It looks like that move will have tremendous utility in combos, allowing him to extend the combo due to their speed and range. Is appears that his closest correlation would be somewhere between Dante himself and Soki from Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
Overall both characters appear to be very up-close fighters, with little zoning potential. Iron Fist in particular looks like he has some very long and easy chains, but we will have to see. There is still no trailer for Phoenix Wright unfortunately, beyond a joke. Capcom will be releasing more videos in the coming days, we hope that more trailers will be forthcoming.
