The King of Fighters XIII gears up for launch- Nerd Age

The King of Fighters XIII is going back to its roots for the new release. The game will have everything the arcade did, but with additional bonuses.

So what is The King of Fighters XIII? Some of you who are not familiar with fighting games or who only came in during this generation may be wondering about this game. The King of Fighters is an iconic series known for its beautiful art, extensive cast and the crushing difficulty of the bosses.

This combination led to a cult following of die-hard fans. However its cult status caused it to fade from the mainstream, leaving players like myself to play it in the background. Even today, the 2000 edition is still wildly popular. The King of Fighters XIII seeks to keep the classic formula but bring it back into the light.

To start, the characters Billy Kane and Saiki will be selectable. Kane has been a fan favorite for years, and one of my personal favorites as well due to his zoning potential. Saiki is a newcomer, and we can only guess how fan reaction will be. We just have to hope for the best from Saiki.

The game will also include special modes on the console, such as time attack and survival. Story mode will have significant cameos and we can guess it will be extended for Billy Kane and Saiki. The King of Fighters XIII will be released on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 22nd. You can get a special soundtrack when you pre-order the game.
