The Hunt – A silly game to stream

As some of you may or may not know, several of us here stream on various streams. So we are always looking for games that may not be perfect, but are quite funny. The Hunt is one of these games. It is a totally unfinished game with basic animations and environments. But the ragdolls and environments are hilarious.

The Hunt Crazy Stairs

These stairs are out of control.

The gripping story of The Hunt

You are a red or blue hunter in the hunt. If you do not control the fort and land, your people will starve. All of your loved ones will die, so you must defeat the enemy. Sadly, your opponent is also a human being and cannot afford to lose. The stakes have never been higher in any game.

The Hunt Killed by Animals

Environmental hazards in The Hunt

The main draw for streaming the hunt is when you are tragically cut down by an animal. The ragdolls here are almost always hilarious. Although similar circumstances can occur when you are dealing with a human opponent. They are a joy to watch and pretty much the best part of the game.

The Hunt character

The Hunt is done in the Unity engine

The Unity engine is becoming quite popular among many people. It allows you to make a very basic game in a short time. Hopefully we will see more sophisticated uses of this over time. But if you are a beginning designer, you should check the engine out. You can actually do some really nice things with it.

This isn’t TF2

If you are looking for a very basic, silly game with few options this is for you. The developers say they will be improving it greatly, but right now it is one map with one bow. If this still seems like a fun diversion for you, check out The Hunt Site. Who knows, this might blossom into something greater someday.
