Terraria 1.2 Patch Notes and Information

As many of you know Terraria 1.2 was recently released. We hope to have an updated guide for you before long. For now let us go over what has changed in this edition.

The Terraria 1.2 Bug Fixes

There are tons of minor fixes from no more selling gold to NPC characters to houses becoming unsuitable. Perhaps the biggest one was the fact that many language bugs were fixed allowing players all over the world to run it well.

The Terraria 1.2 Mechanics Improvements

Many of these are important so let us go over the most important ones in a concise manner:

  • Overlay changes from the map to the healthbar
  • Hotkey changes such a M for map and J for mana
  • 999 item stacks for some items
  • 1,000 character slots
  • 1,000 world slots
  • Bigger chests
  • New clothes and hair
  • Larger inventory
  • Various changes to tools
  • Early game robes and staves
  • Waterfalls on halftiles
  • Rain and Blizzards
  • Harder jungle temples
  • Alternative ores and corruption replacements
  • 2 new hardmode events
  • New art for various biomes
  • New hell houses and floating islands
  • multiple item chances
  • New tombstones and other environmental art
  • Over 1,000 new items
  • 10 new ores
  • Stat changes to existing items
  • 8 new NPCs
  • 4 new bosses
  • 100 new enemies
  • New rare spawn minibosses
  • New music with 15 new tracks
  • Optimizations for ram usage and multiplayer

There are many more additions than this but these are the most important ones. As you can see every single thing about Terraria has been improved over the time.
