Sometimes we cover games because people like them. Sometimes we cover games that people haven’t ever heard of. We hope that Bacon Man will be a little of column A and a little of column B.
The Music of Bacon Man
They recently put the soundtrack up on Bandcamp for you to check out. While some of the names are a bit strange the music does seem good. In fact that was the main reason their press release caught our eye. While it looks like a standard platformer it also looks like these people care about their work. That goes a long way for us and we imagine it does for you.
The Story of Bacon Man, Kind of
From what we have seen so far the main character really hates the ice climbers. He appears to be Bacon Manhandling them in the early video. How their enmity started we can only imagine.
Classic Platforming Gameplay in Bacon Man
As you might expect it follows the old rules. Bizarre characters to talk with and traps to traverse. You also have items you can pick up and throw in order to move through areas.
It is one of those platformers. Mostly though it’s just refreshing to see this art style again. We liked it in Skullmonkeys and such. If it can be half as good as that game then we will have something. Hopefully the final gameplay will have some twist on the normal formula.
Following Bacon Man
In this case they have their own site here. If it looks interesting enough to you then check it out. Maybe tell them what you think about their game. This particular one is getting a bit of attention from the press now but they cannot make it a reality without you.
