Sword Art Online episode 22 has two major parts to it. The first portion is about Kirito trying to make it against all odds up the World Tree to get to Asuna. After Leafa gets him out of the dome, she finds out that Kirito is her brother and confesses her feelings.
Kirito finally comes up against a wall for the first time in Sword Art Online. He says that he believed that he could do anything, and why shouldn’t he believe that? Everything that Kirito has ever tried in Sword Art Online and now Alfheim Online has been easy for him. Even when he died in Sword Art Online, that did not stop him. To Kirito these games were a place that he could do whatever he wanted and have whoever he wanted.
How could that card possibly manage to fall right into his hands when it was dropped out of a tree?
The scene where Kirito dies while fighting the guards in the dome is way overdone. Kirito’s death in Sword Art Online was less dramatic than this, which does not make sense. Kirito is not going to die in real life. While he would have been set back a bit, it should not have been as big a deal as it was. He was talking about how he thought it all was just a game, but this time it is so what is he going on about? After he resurrected, he could start all over again.
The moment that has been in the making since Kirito made it back to the real world finally happened, Sugu told him how she feels. It is about time that this happened. It feels a little late though there is not much time left to resolve all that is left in this series. Sugu was a bit foolish though going off with Kirito in the game without knowing what he was after. He was trying to save his wife. That should not be a safe person to fall in love with. So the double heartbreak Sugu is feeling now is partly her fault. How about asking more questions about what a guy is desperately seeking before following him like a puppy.
After Sugu blames Kirito for making her fall in love with him because he is too nice, he must have been thinking about how girls do this to him all the time. When all his many conquests confess it has to go like this because all the girls fall for him because he is so nice.
Now there are only a few episodes left in the show and all the plot is coming to the end. Hopefully they can wrap up the romances and get Asuna saved without doing something awful to make it happen.
