There have been huge, huge reveals for Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. Due to new trailers and accidentally leaked information, we likely know all of the new characters for this game.
Strider, Ghost Rider and more are in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3. This is huge news for fighting fans all over the world. With two much-desired choices, we have to keep our fingers crossed for Phoenix Wright. More than that, several pictures have popped up on the Capcom site.
From gameplay footage so far, Strider appears to play much like he did in Marvel vs Capcom 2. He has some very good rushdown and pressure games, in addition to his excellent super projectile. Ghost Rider appears to be a mid-range zoner, going into some close up combos. His chain appears to have some excellent priority as well, most likely making him a very good assist.
Other additions include a redesigned heads up display. There are quite a few new arenas, including the sadly ironic Megaman Legends stage. Overall the game looks very different from the one released not so long ago.
Also confirmed are Phoenix Wright, Frank West, Doctor Strange, Vergil, Nova, Rocket-Raccoon, Nemesis, Iron-Fist, Hawkeye and Firebrand. They showed up on static.capcom.com and their flub showed us the characters early. I’m just happy to see Rocket Raccoon.
We are extremely surprised to see Doctor Strange and Iron Fist in particular. Many of these characters are well outside of the main stream of comics and gaming. It is great to see Capcom taking a risk for comic book fans. While many fans are upset that this edition is coming out so shortly after the first, it is still better than DLC. If they were to release all these characters as DLC it would likely cost you $120 or more to get them individually.
