Capcom and Namco have been rather quiet on Street Fighter X Tekken, but now they are releasing some very cryptic bits of information.
Capcom Europe has released some huge trailers for Street Fighter X Tekken which you can see embedded on the page. People are claiming that they show Rolento, Ibuki, Q, Alex and even more. So far we cannot be sure of any of these characters, but there are two who are almost definitely confirmed by this.
Our first video shows some backgrounds from previous Street Fighter games. These aren’t terribly helpful in revealing anything. But what is helpful? The fact that the hand of what appears to be a black human shows up, and Sean’s basketball can be clearly seen.
The hand is even in the exact same pose Sean uses when he throws his ball in SF3. That’s right, it is pretty clear that Sean is going to be in Street Fighter X Tekken. You may remember him being absolutely useless and terrible in Third Strike, let us hope this changes.
Update: Several parts of the picture seem to show backgrounds and parts of Rolento. It seems that both Rolento and Sean have appearances in this trailer. Both could be in game, or one could be the actual reveal with the other being in the background. This may mean that Sean has been deconfirmed for Street Fighter X Tekken but it is too soon to say.
We have also found a part of the trailer below which is definitely Rolento’s hand. It may turn out that Rolento is the actual only reveal, with Sean being somewhere in a mini-game. The shadowy hand also could be Rolento’s hand, but we cannot really tell from that picture. We also found a mystery bicep. :
There also seem to be bits of construction from one of the games. But is this the construction scene from SF3 or some other game?
Honestly, who else could this be? That’s right, as fans of Tekken know this could only be Heihachi in the picture. While not a big surprise, he has been a fan favorite for a long time and not having him would be idiotic. Hopefully he will not be as unstoppably broken as he was in Soul Calibur 2.
After watching the videos though, it really seems like people are seeing things that may not be there. We have heard nearly every Third Strike character mentioned as showing up in a piece here, but very few are clear. This is probably exactly what Capcom wanted in order to build up hype. We don’t feel like dealing in speculation without significant evidence, but these two characters are at least very clear. Edit: Or so we thought.

sf3 itself has better characters and a better game than ff.
