Some more huge reveals from Street Fighter X Tekken, and we can tell who they are by a white glove and green palm. And we know exactly who the new revealed characters are.
Lili of Tekken fame has been confirmed for Street Fighter X Tekken by this trailer here. As you can clearly see various parts of her body, but more importantly you can see her signature glove. Lili first showed up as an important character to the story in 5, so some only hardcore Tekken fans are probably familiar with her.
The next character is someone near and dear to all of our hearts. Someone who wrestles bears and Mexican luchadores, perhaps one day even a Mexican bear luchadore. He is the defender of Russian skies and the “Red Cyclone”: Zangief!
We can tell this by the fact that his “banishing flat” maneuver shows up in the trailer. Also I need to take a moment to ask everyone to stop calling it green palm. Yes it is a green palm, but the move has always been called banishing flat and it makes Zangief sound even more like a bad-ass if you call it that. Come on folks, get it right for Zangief.
So what does this mean? For one it means all the most awesome grapple characters are in one game, between King, Hugo and Zangief. So basically SF X Tekken could become grapples the game, which is actually pretty great.
It is kind of amusing that they seem to be releasing less popular characters with more popular ones. First Sean X Heihachi, then the reverse with these trailers. I suppose they are hoping fans won’t be too annoyed as long as one of their favorites in. Regardless, the lineup is looking really solid so far and we are excited.
