Steam Greenlight releasing FLY’N and what it teaches

FLY’N is slated for a Steam Greenlight release tomorrow. In this article we want to go over FLY’N and what it means for others who want Steam Greenlight success.

The game itself

FLY’N was a real surprise for us. It came out of nowhere on Steam Greenlight. The game charmed us with its quirky art style and different types of gameplay. These are essentials for any platformer today because the market is so flooded. You control a variety of different characters on a quest through a magical world. Specifically you play the guardians of the world and of nature: “The Buds.” Your quest takes you through the darkness and into a world of secrets and beauty.

FLY'N Steam Greenlight Gameplay

FLY’N shows that polish matters on Steam Greenlight

We voted for FLY’N on Steam Greenlight due to its polish. We didn’t know how large they were. We had only vaguely heard of the company from their Wakfu production. However it stood out. The number one thing to do for getting up-voted is to stand out. While it is a platformer, it stood out from the others.

FLY’N and good use of media for Steam Greenlight

Another reason they succeeded was that they made good use of the media. They did both a developer video and a game video. This is important for those who want to get on. Some people like watching developer input. We prefer to see the gameplay ourselves. But having both insures that everyone is included.

Ankama Games is making FLY’N

Another reason Ankama Games succeeded is that they are not a small team. They are a business with a good amount of team members. This is another way that many developers have a leg up. They run their group as a business and are properly staffed. Who else succeeded and has the same positive group? The Young Horses crew. This is no coincidence. So build a team if you can.

Check out their Steam Greenlight and later the game

The game looks very good to us so be sure to check out their current page. You may even want to buy it soon, as it is slated to be out on the ninth.
