Steam Begins Daily Deals - Steam is giving free stuff left and right

Steam has decided that weekend and midweek madness deals aren’t good enough, so they’ve begun having a deal every single day. Couple with the release of Terraria, it’s a good time to be on steam.

On that note Terraria has been on Steam sale multiple times during recent weeks. We can expect it to continue the trend as they succeed.

Updates: Since then Steam has been doing non-stop sales of many games. They have also been pretty constantly been doing publisher packs including:

• Warhammer 40K packs to celebrate the release of the game Space Marine
• ID software packs to celebrate rage as well as Quakecon in general
• Kalypso Media packs, you may remember them as the publishers of Tropico, they are celebrating Tropico 4

All of these are topped off by hats upon hats in TF2. Everything from Mount and Blade to Deus ex: Human Revolution now has a ton of hats which come with these games. It’s quite insane just how much they do.

Tripwire games is also very notable for this hat DLC phenomenon as both Killing Floor and Red Orchestra 2 have TF2 items tied to them. However they go one further and actually have Killing Floor characters and other in game items unlocked depending on whether you pre-purchase to get the TF2 items.

As it stands now the digital distribution wars are in full swing and everyone is throwing items at their fanbase. This is certainly a good thing. Even though Steam is still on top, it’s a winning situation for customers if they have to work hard to keep their sales.
