Sanctum 2 is coming out… eventually. We just wanted to bring you a short teaser because we enjoyed the first game. So here it is.
Sanctum 2 so far
We know very little about Sanctum 2 so far. However we are happy to bring what we know to you. We know that they will have some amazing music. This is to be expected because Sanctum 1 had great music. They also have another sample up right here. Our only problem is some of the songs start out a bit too relaxing for such a crazy game.
Sanctum 2 and Graphics
Graphics have also improved, from what little we have seen. We can expect an updated engine from the previous games. While the teaser looks nice, we cannot take it as an indicator of the full game. Teasers are notorious for looking really great.
The Sanctum 2 Design Process
The team has a very special way of designing levels. You can check it out here. They spin around in a chair then hit the computer while blindfolded. Well, that is what they say anyway. We are pretty sure it might involve less blindfolds than they let on. On a side note we can expect the same leveling for guns and such of the old game.
Sanctum 2 and Reverb
Another thing to take note of is that the Sanctum 2 publishers, Coffee Stain Studios, have joined Reverb. This means you will be seeing them more in media.
The Sanctum 2 Release
Sanctum is scheduled for release on consoles and on PC. However the release date has not been nailed down. Earlier estimates put it in 2012, but that is obviously not correct. So far we can only guess on the release date, same as anyone else. We will cover this more in the future and hopefully get some early copies sometime. We are excited to see how they have improved on this already very good game.
