Sanctum 2: Road to Elysion is out now on Steam. Now that it is out we can bring you more details about the update and the new story.
The New Story of Sanctum 2 Road to Elysion
Early on in Sanctum 2 you find out that not all was right with the colonization of the planet. This particular storyline focuses on TSYGAN the “Rogue Insurgent” and tells you more about the insidious colonization efforts. In many ways the monsters on the planet are simply a punishment for time and effort badly spent by the colonists. But is there another sinister force that has set this all up? It appears that we will find that answer through the course of the various DLC packages.
The Upgrades in the Sanctum 2 Road to Elysion Release
Now that the game is out we can go over some more elements. The two main ones that weren’t revealed are the:
- Ballista which is TSYGAN’s custom weapon
- The slow field dispenser adds a new way to slow enemies and create kill-zones
These are in addition to the perks and weapons we knew about. We are probably most impressed with the Range Spire and Gatling Laser but we will have to go over the game a bit more before we decide for sure. It also comes with a variety of new maps for you to enjoy with some new perks. Overall it seems like quite a nice update to an already very good game.
Buying the Sanctum 2 Road to Elysion Release
Right now you can get the Sanctum 2 Road to Elysion DLC for $3.99. They will eventually be releasing all four expansions later for $11.99 which should finally wrap up the story of the game. It should be interesting to see just what caused the revolt of the bests in the first place.
