Samurai Flamenco has had a very interesting run so far, and now the series could be taking an entirely new turn. So far the series has been pretty down to Earth handling problems that a normal person could handle if they had the proper tools and techniques. Now that the city was supposed to be running smoothly due to the influence of Samurai Flamenco a new enemy emerges.
Guillotine Gorilla was a totally unexpected part of Samurai Flamenco. The villains of the show so far have been normal thugs, drunks, and various people doing careless things that break a law. While there were hints that is was too quiet and people were getting bored that did not really prepare anyone for a druggie turning into a monster gorilla with a guillotine in its chest. While Samurai Flamenco has been hurt in the past there were no people dying. Seeing people die in this mostly subdued show is very shocking. Enough to turn viewers off the show.
Having a real evil to fight could really throw off Samurai Flamenco. While it could be a dream, staged for a show, made up by the publisher who is bored, or many other options it would still change things up. It makes me wonder if it would be better if this is the show trolling the viewers and everything will go back to normal or if it would be better to change the show? Lots of people would be mad if it is a troll move, but I think it would keep more viewers overall to keep the show the way it is rather than making a drastic change. Probably the best way would be if it was staged for a show that he would star in. If it does turn out that this is the new direction of the show, I do not see how Samurai Flamenco could handle villains of this level with the weapons and fighting skills that he has now. Seems like too much of a stretch that he could take them out when he has had trouble with regular people.
