Samurai Flamenco has truly taken a different turn. Guillotine Gorilla was only the beginning of a string of super powered animal themed villains. All the villains are under king torture and have their torture sidekicks. They all explode when things start going poorly for them like Guillotine Gorilla did. After Guillotine Gorilla all the others are mostly a nuisance to the public and do not harm anyone else.
This episode of Samurai Flamenco truly shows that people can get used to almost anything and take it for granted. At first the police, Samurai Flamenco and the Flamenco Girls were worried about the menace and took great pains to take them out. After several of them have been taken out with no casualties all the groups are growing boring and becoming less vigilant. This does not see like a good idea. While the villains have been pretty stupid lately the first was able to easily kill people. There could easily be more like him. When all the forces for good were bored last time there was tragedy. Seems like while the good guys say they do not like evil or people doing the wrong things they thrive on it.
Samurai Flamenco is doing a real transformation during this episode. At first he is concerned about the welfare of everyone involved including the monsters, but by the end he sees them as necessary casualties. He is losing his sense of justice for everyone and while he used to think that people should not justify doing wrong he is now doing it himself. Success personally and professionally seems to have gone to his head and hopefully he will get back to his normal personality soon. He was better as the idealistic hero that would handle justice at even the lowest level than the successful hero that will do anything to keep that success.
Samurai Flamenco no longer thinking of the monsters as casualties is weird since they do still show signs of being human or intelligent enough to realize what is happening.
Samurai Flamenco’s new rival King Torture has a really creepy obsession with him. It seems like a parody of how villains are obsessed with heroes. Every time they show King Torture he has dolls dressed like Samurai Flamenco being killed. It ends with a whole room of them.
I think this is a bit much even for an evil villain.
