Samurai Flamenco episode 19 – Everyone Is Crazy

Samurai Flamenco episode 19 was about things are after everything is peaceful. Everyone that Samurai Flamenco knows is doing well and he is possibly going to become World President. It feels like a false peace, which would be totally accurate. Goto is going on a date and Flamenco along with Mari follow him to find out from his mom that his girlfriend is dead. Goto has been texting himself this whole time. At the end Flamenco meets a boy who quotes one of his early speeches back to him and there is an explosion behind him at the top of a building.

Samurai Flamenco addressing Goto’s girlfriend feels so odd after him being the straight man for so long. I hope that there turns out to be more of a purpose for revealing this than just wrapping up loose ends. I do not feel that adding a bit of drama to a filler episode was enough reason to make the straight man a crazy guy as well. Disappointed with Mari’s reaction because Goto helped her and let her heal after she got upset about King Torture. Mari does not even try to understand or make Goto feel better, she just gets disgusted with him and runs away. When Goto is no longer the fantasy police officer, she is not interested in him. Samurai Flamenco also has a very brief thought that even with his powers and ability to do so much even he could not help Goto. There is tragedy in the world that people have to work through themselves which appears to be hard for him to understand.

Samurai Flamenco episode 19 Goto and girlfriend

This whole episode of Samurai Flamenco feels unnecessary. The whole people get bored with peace thing has already been addressed in the show already. Less than half an episode could have been dedicated to seeing what people are doing now and if absolutely necessary a small portion dedicated to showing the part about Goto. It does not really feel like this episode needed to exist even if the episodes after make a perfect ending this episode was mainly filler. Part of it was already shown before and the rest dragged on too long. Hopefully the next episode makes up for this misstep. If it keeps up like this I will be very disappointed it did not stop with episode 18.
