Samurai Flamenco episode eleven introduces the new enemy From Beyond and shows Samurai Flamenco becoming part of a sentai team.
Samurai Flamenco has reinvented itself again. This time Samurai Flamenco is the leader of a team. Together they can take all their little mechs and make a giant mech, just like a normal team. Most of the group besides Samurai Flamenco has special powers when fighting outside of mechs. Makes me wonder if Samurai Flamenco is going to have to learn a special power. He could be handicapped in future fights because he is unable to do anything but standard fighting moves.
A lot of people think Samurai Flamenco went downhill after Guillotine Gorilla and no longer has anything special about it. Personally I think that what it has become is more special than it was before because it has reinvented itself several times in order to portray a different type of show. Through this we have seen the growth of Samurai Flamenco and how he adapts to different situations and different threats. He has gone from handling petty crimes the police would not touch to monster, and now aliens. In the beginning Samurai could not even win a fight and now he is the leader of a sentai team. When he teamed up with Flamenco Diamond he could not stand up to her properly, but this time he stood up for what he felt was his right to be a leader. Samurai Flamenco has worked in almost all positions there are in a hero show besides being the villain. Watching his growth and the evolution of the show is quite special by itself if people would appreciate the show for what it is instead of what they thought it would be. I guess for those who don’t like the direction the show has taken they should remember the words of Red Axe when they think about the beginning of the series, “It was a beautiful lie.”
The way the show has been growing and changing has me looking forward to what will happen next. Will there be another change after becoming part of a sentai team? What could be left? The fact that From Beyond appears to only have a few people on there team could mean they are planning at least one more change before the end.
