Resident Evil Revelations Wii U Trailer and Contest - NA

The Resident Evil Revelations Wii U trailer was released recently and they are having a contest to go along with it. We want to bring you the trailer and how to enter today.

As you can see from the above video the Wii U screen lets you play special mini-games. It also lets you look at your map and items on the fly. You can even play on the pad itself. You can also leave messages for others that the monsters will say in word balloons and you can leave them in areas of the map. We have to wonder whether this will get annoying but you will probably be able to turn it off anyway. At least we hope so or this could become a very annoying feature. It looks like Capcom is taking a page from the book of the Dark/Demon’s Souls series by doing this. Some people like hearing from other people in their area or in the world. Hopefully this will add to and not detract from the game.

They are also doing a social media contest for those who want to get into the atmosphere early. You have to use your Twitter at http://searchforzenobia.residentevil.com/ where you can win prizes.  You have to play a little scanner mini-game and find the ship. Of course it is up to you whether to do that. The contest seems a bit invasive since it can:

• Read Tweets on your timeline
• See who you follow and follow new people
• Update your profile
• Post Tweets for you

Of course we doubt Capcom would abuse this but they would probably be interested in seeing what type of people like their game.

The Resident Evil Revelations Wii U Release Date

The game is currently slated to be released on May 21st for Wii U, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Each version will have somewhat different features. Obviously the Wii U will have the most features doe to the special controller.
