This is a two part article. One is about the fact that Ravaged goes on sale today and part two is about the fact that the Steam Holiday Sale comes out today.
Ravaged gets free DLC and goes on sale
The game ravaged is getting a big, free DLC pack known as the Apocalypse DLC pack. It has many new additions such as:
- Several new vehicles. There are Tractor Tanks, Quads and Trikes. There is even a new Mini Chopper with mini guns on the side.
- New weapons such as a nail gun, 2 AK-47 variants, a gold .357, an Mp7, 3 M16 variants and even an AN94 IronSites.
- A new map created with vehicular combat in mind. Dust Bowl gives you a place to check out all the various and cool vehicles.
- VOIP is now part of the in-game section. Now you can communicate with all your squad members.
- Better visibility for squads in the user interface makes it easier to find your squad.
- Those who just sit in the spawn and ruin games now get auto-kicked.
- New skins for the mini-helicopters in this game.
It looks like this DLC pack brings a lot to the game overall. Soon you will be able to get the game for $4.99 USD on their Steam Store Page.
The Scheduled Sale will be on shortly
At the time of this writing I am still getting the old Steam pop-up. But it appears that later on in the day the Steam Holiday Sale will be up. What can we expect? Probably what we did from other years:
- Significant sales for new and less popular games
- Smaller sales for big games
- Packages
- Some sort of mini-event
These are all fairly safe bets. We are excited to check it out soon. The sale itself starts Thursday, December 20, and lasts on through Friday, January 4, 2013.
