Ravaged is getting a second expansion for the game. This new update brings a variety of weapons and modes. We not think Ravaged gets all the press it deserves. So come check out this significant overhaul with us.
The Ravaged Update
There are many good things that this update brings. Let us have a look at them:
- Team Deathmatch lets you just fight it out
- Highjack Mode has players fight over a dump truck to deliver fuel
- The Dump Truck itself, less a vehicle and more a moving building
- A chainsaw
- A Flamethrower
- XP displays when it is awarded
- Less ammo
The ammo part is perhaps more neutral than good. However the flamethrower and chainsaw are both very nice. We hope they will continue to add more modes later on. Let us take a moment and look at the most interesting part of the update.
The Ravaged Dump Truck
This vehicle is huge, hard to see out of and sometimes hard to drive. Take a look at the above picture if you want to see what I mean. Still though, it is nice to have a super-vehicle to fight over. It has everything from machine guns to cannons. The fact that it is so slow and difficult to manage is probably meant to balance it. This new mode adds something that sets Ravaged apart from other games. We hope that they continue with this in later updates.
Where to get Ravaged
Ravaged is of course available on Steam. At $9.99 it is a very affordable choice for FPS gaming. We also support it because they have been releasing their DLC free. In these days when every bit of DLC is a cash grab, this is refreshing. We hope that more people on the gaming scene take a note from this. Free DLC will get you positive publicity.
