Project Zomboid is Still Undead

Project Zomboid took a back seat in the spotlight. This was after some controversy. But how do you kill that which does not live? Project Z is not dead, and they are still working on it. Today we will go over some updates they have had.

The New Project Zomboid UI

They are currently working on the user interface for the game. It now has popups for the inventory and backpack icons. They have a backpack system which is separate from the inventory. There is also a new stacking system. You can now stack things in the user interface. This is something that was a common sense development. However it is quite handy.

General Project Zomboid Updates

Project Zomboid has been on Desura for some time. However they are now also on Steam Greenlight. If you enjoy this project you should go support them on greenlight. Overall this game has a very bright future if it gets support.

General Project Zomboid Information

The last time we  checked in on Project Zomboid was some time ago. Over the months Project Zomboid has received female zombies and much more. They have also added new environments since the alpha. You can move out into country-style landscapes. There are also statistics for weapon conditions, new clothing and much more. There are also bigger mobs and more variation in areas.

Overall the game appears to be coming along nicely. We are still hoping for fully-functional mutiplayer. That will really make or break the game. You can also carry more or less based on your encumbrance. So basically this game has both encumbrance and weapon degradation. We are a little concerned about this. These are two options that have really hurt the fun of games. We will see if it adds to the difficulty of surviving.
