The Prison Architect Alpha 9 build has been released. New industries and additional parts of the plot have been added. We want to go over with it for you here.
The New Additions in Prison Architect Alpha 9
There have been huge additions and massive fixes in every direction. Let us go over it:
- Prisoners have new jobs to do in kitchens and other areas
- There is also a new “work” regime
- Clothing now shows how clean it is
- Workshops can create items now instead of just making money
- Prisoners now have visitors who come to see them
- Massive changes have been made in how cleaning is rendered and done
There were also many bug fixes in Prison Architect Alpha 9. Several of them are hilarious as well, including the one on daily wages. Here are a few:
- Workshops no longer award money per square
- Dead staff members will no longer be paid every day
- The game renders correctly on vista and up
- Prisoners in lockdown no longer say forget it and leave their cells
- Several other minor fixes
We are probably most excited about the families. The story is what really makes this game come to life for us. We can’t wait to see just how deep they get when the game is finally finished and for those who loved the bugs do not worry there are plenty left. Like Laundromats spilling water and electrocuting those who try to repair them.
