Prison Architect Alpha 15 is out now and it’s not a huge patch of changes, but it has a few that count. We’re going to be going over those with you today.
The Biggest News of Prison Architect Alpha 15
Mods are now being officially supported. You can just drop the files in and the game will pick them up. This is something they have needed to add for a while and we are very excited they did. They already have prisons on the Steam Workshop so we hope to see mods eventually.
This modding support means great fun for players and some nice streaming potential as well. It’s good to see that many companies are moving toward modding because it just makes sense. We are excited to see what gamers can do with the new official mod support. For those who have the game and access to the forums there is a mod list you can try out here.
A Few Changes to Prison Architect Alpha 15
There is now a fatigue system that means your staff will have to recharge. We aren’t sure whether this is going to make things more or less fun. Performance has also been improved as previously things could get a bit rough. When there were hundreds of characters on the screen it could cause some slowdown. Now everything runs better.
Other minor changes include bug fixes, grant changes and time table alterations. Nothing that is incredibly sweeping.
Getting Prison Architect
You can of course get it now on Steam right now. If you want to find out more about the game then visit Introversion Software. They’re probably best known for Defcon and Darwinia. If nothing else their games have always been interesting a a bit out of the box. We think it’s the best one so far.
