While we are fans of the game, this objectively looks like a good deal. PlanetSide 2 staffers are offering you a package worth far more than you might expect. Many games are doing this these days. AirMech was yet another game that did something like this.

What if I don’t want to buy this for PlanetSide 2?

Then don’t. There is no real downside to this. However we should point out that getting all this will probably be more expensive later on. Overall you have nothing to lose from this. This is one of those rare situations where you have nothing to lose.

Our Experience with PlanetSide 2 so far

So far the game has shown itself to be solid. Some of the interior graphics are not phenomenal. The landscapes however, are beautiful. We hope that some of the interior textures are worked on a bit before release.

The fact that it is now free-to-play may have some negative effects. Just as with TF2 it requires teamwork. However PlanetSide 2 requires extensive teamwork or numbers to win. If you are lacking in teamwork, it is a serious problem. You will be having bases side-capped constantly. We say side-capped because you cannot back-capture bases. You can however grab multiple border bases. But you need proper teamwork for that. Still, it is an excellent game so far.
