Persona 4 Arena Information and Screenshots

Persona 4 Arena is now in full swing. Atlus is releasing quite a few shots of the game, and it is looking quite good. It is currently slated for a August 7, 2012 release.

Persona 4 Arena Kanji

Persona 4 Arena has some story for the Hardcore Fans

As you can see above, the game should have some interesting interaction. Hopefully we will get to see the absolutely hilarious shadow Kanji as a character or outfit. This is a major selling point of the game. But then it is also being made by Ark Systemworks so the fighting should be good as well.

Persona 4 Arena Yosuke Naoto

Persona 4 Arena uses the standard system

As you might expect, the game uses a formula that only changes a bit from Guilty Gear of years ago. You can do launchers and air recoveries. Throw escapes are a big part of it, much like in Blazblue. This variant of the system also has an evasion much like other fighters. Status effects are also a very large part of this one. It appears that many of the characters have status effects.

This is an interesting departure from other games where only a few characters had them. The game also has a “Skill Boost” feature which is very similar to EX moves found in many Capcom games. What is really strange is that this particular entry seems to borrow a lot from other games. Even the games of other companies. It still looks good though.

Persona 4 Arena Additional Information

As we mentioned earlier, the game will be released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on 8/7/2012. Be sure to check out their official site as well: Atlus P4arena. You can also get a limited Original Arranged Soundtrack if you preorder.
