Paper Sorcerer

We love to feature Kickstarters that we find interesting. Today we will be going over a new game in a paper world: Paper Sorcerer.

The Story of Paper Sorcerer

The story is what first stood out to us is the fact that you play a villain in this game. You have been defeated by the heroes and trapped within a book. You have to make your way through the book and escape, and you learn your motivation as a villain as the game goes along.

Paper Sorcerer Puzzles

Paper Sorcerer and Puzzles

One thing we enjoy about this upcoming game is that there will be many ways to solve puzzles. You can use your brain, magic or even force to solve puzzles in various ways. This is something that was done in the Bioware games of old, and many other games. This has always been a good thing in every game that we have seen it in.

Paper Sorcerer and Grinding

The other thing that stood out to us is that there is no grinding. You summon minions that you have acquired before the start of the game to help you. As a result, you do not have to grind levels as the game progresses. This is quite nice in an era where huge amounts of grinding are the norm for most games. In fact, the current crop of RPG games such as Guild Wars 2 has huge amounts of grinding. It is rather troubling to see it become the standard overall.

Paper Sorcerer and the Kickstarter

This game is still in the very early stages. As with any Kickstarter, you can get bonuses for donating to this interesting game such as mentions in the credits, and special editions.
